Meet Me!
Hey y’all! I’m Kiara, the owner and designer of The Chestnut Mare. My day job involves saving lives as a Clinical Pharmacist in one of Virginia’s top hospitals. In my free time I jump crazy horses (aka holding on for dear life and trying to stay OUT of said hospital). Originally from Wisconsin, I moved to Virginia with my husband after college. I’m inspired by the beauty of the state and its people. My intent is to create timeless jewelry that will be appreciated for years to come. Enjoy!

Meet my daughters, and the inspiration behind The Chestnut Mare. Elsie, my eldest, is my very own chestnut with fiery red hair and an attitude to match. I am amazed by her strength, determination, and intellect. My youngest, Genevieve, is a blonde little sprite that is happiest while wearing the most poufy dress she can find (with sparkly jewelry and my high heels to match). She exudes kindness, fanciness, and has kisses for days.
My Approach: Attention to Detail
Each petal is hand sculpted using polymer clay. Hours go into perfecting every detail - from color schemes to hand carved features. Every petal, and resulting flower, is completely unique and beautiful.
Likewise, each stone stud is carefully selected and placed into gold plated earring backs. Each piece is lovingly chosen and created by hand.
